Yankees
The Yankees scored first on A-Rod's RBI single, 1-0.
Don Kelly scored on a triple when washed-up OF Raúl Ibáñez screwed the catch and dove as the ball went into left field. 1-1. Nova set down the next two batters.
Miguel Cabrera singled and scored Austin Jackson, 2-1 Tigers. Fielder singled and Boesch scored, 3-1.
A-Rod launched a homer into right field, 3-2 Yankees!
Russell Martin homered into right field to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead.
Austin Jackson's two run double moved the Tigers ahead, 5-4. After an intentional walk, Nova departed and was replaced by Boone Logan.
Fielder singled, and scored Jackson, 6-4 Tigers.
Boone Logan gave up hits to both lefties despite what I believe to be a strikeout. He was removed and Cory Wade took his place. Wade loaded the bases, but left with only a 6-4 defecit.
Nick Swisher doubled with two outs and Raúl Ibáñez doubled on an error to score Swisher, 6-5 Tigers. Eric Chávez grounded out and Cabrera tagged out Ibáñez to end the inning.
In the eighth, Canó singled and A-Rod scored, 6-5. Mark Teixeira flew out to centerfield to tie the game, and The Yankees had the game tied with a runner at second.
In the top of the ninth, Mariano Rivera set the Tigers down scoreless and the Yankees came up in the bottom of the ninth. Russell Martin grounded out and Derek Jeter walked. Curtis Granderson walked and Jeter went to third on the wild pitch. ARod was up and Jeter scored on a wild pitch to win 7-6!
