Yankees Game #10

Josh Willingham homered, but Brett Gardner hit a ground rule double to tie the game at one. Clete Thomas double and scored Casilla, who scored on a single by Jamey Carroll. Andruw scored on a single by Nunez and Chris Stewart had a two-run single to put the Yankees up 5-2 on Jeter's sac fly. Andruw later homered in the fourth and in the fifth, Jeter singled to score Gardner, 7-2. Chris Stewart scored Gardner on a single in the seventh. 8-3. The top of the eighth was a scoreless affair and the bottom of the inning went likewise. Cory Wade pitched a scoreless ninth inning and gave the Yankees a much-needed 8-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Sabathia gave it his all despite his poor start and the team has bounced back from the loss well.
