Yankees Game

The Twins scored four runs off of Kuroda in the first. The Yankees scored three runs on an RBI double by Cano and a two-run single for Nick Swisher. 4-3 Yankees. Burroughs singled to score Morneau in the third, and Cano homered in the third to make the score 5-4, and the fourth was scoreless. In the fifth, Morneau again homered and made the score 6-4 Twins. The sixth was scoreless. Boone Logan worked a scoreless seventh. Derek Jeter led off the bottom of the seventh with a single and Granderson lined out to left. Mark Teixeira singled and the go ahead run was at the plate in the form of Robinson CanĂ³. He singled, Tex was thrown out at second, and Swisher struck out to end the inning and kill the rally. In the eighth, Boone Logan worked a scoreless inning despite a lack of effort by Andruw Jones on a hit to left field which allowed Casilla to get a double. The Yankees were held scoreless once again in The eighth, and the Twins did likewise. In the bottom of the ninth, A-Rod pinch hit and grounded out to third. Derek Jeter homered to put the Yankees within one run, but Mark Teixeira flew out to right to end the game. Another classic Yankees loss.
