Posey grounded out to end the inning. The Mets went scoreless in the fourth. Aubrey Huff popped up to second and Schierholz grounded to first. Burriss flew to right to end the inning. In the home fourth, Murphy doubled and Wright struck out. Ike Davis struck out and Jason Bay struck out to end the inning. The Giants went scoreless in the fifth. In the home fifth, Lucas Duda walked and Josh Thole singled. Tejada grounded and forced Thole out at second and score Duda, 1-1. Pelfrey sac bunted and moved the runner up. Kirk grounded to short to end the inning. Posey singled with one out and Huff hit into a 4-6-3 double play. Daniel Murphy flew out to left and Wright struck out. Ike Davis worked a full count before flying out to center to end the inning. Schierholz lined to left and Crawford grounded out. Vogelsong struck out to end the inning. In the seventh, Jason Bay singled, and Lucas Duda walked. Thole sac bunted and moved both runners into scoring position. Rubén Tejada doubled and the Mets led, 3-1! Mike Pelfrey lined out and Captain Kirk popped out to third to end the inning. In the eighth, Ángel Pagan flew to center, Melky Cabrera bounced out on a play that almost resulted in a single, as Pelfrey, Murphy, and Ike. Sandoval flew out to center to end the inning. In the home eighth, Murphy singled and Wright singled on an error by Huff. Ike singled and scored Murphy, 4-1 Mets. Dan Otero came on and Ike got tagged out at first. Pill popped up which was misplayed, 4-4. Pagan struck out to end the inning. Duda singled, Thole sac bunted. Tejada walked and pinch hitter Justin Turner loaded the bases in the ninth and Kirk grounded out as Posey made a wild throw to score Tejada and win the game.
