Tex led off the second with a groundout and Granderson struck out. Andruw Jones walked and Russell Martin struckout to end the inning. Saltalamacchia grounded to first, Cody Ross singled and Darnell McDonald doubled. Mike Aviles singled. 3-0 Red Sox. Ryan Sweeney lined to right, 4-0 on McDonald's single. The home fifth began with a Saltalamacchia singled and Cody Ross homered, 9-0 Red Sox. McDonald flew out and Sweeney lined to right. In the sixth, Canó struck out, A-Rod struck out swinging. Tex homered, 9-1.
