Yankees vs. Rangers
The Yankees went scoreless in the first.
Ian Kinsler led off the second with a home run. Hamilton struck out and the Rangers led 1-0.
Tex led off with an out and Swisher struck out. Ibáñez struck out to end the inning.
The Rangers' David Murphy singled and Mike Napoli struck out to end the inning.
Eric Chávez singled and Russell Martin The Yankees loaded the bases on Jeter's bunt single. Granderson struck out, A-Rod grounded out to end the inning.
Mitch Moreland Grounded to first, Kinsler grounded out, and Elvis Andrus walked and stole second, Josh Hamilton singled as the Rangers led 2-0. Adrian Beltré struck out to end the inning.
Canó doubled, Tex struck out swinging, and Nick Swisher struck out to end the inning.
In the bottom of the fourth, Nelson Cruz singled and David Murphy struck out swinging. Mike Napoli recorded an out to end the inning.
In the fifth, Eric Chávez grounded out, Russell Martin grounded out, and Derek Jeter doubled, but once again the Yankees did not score.
In the home fifth, Moreland grounded out, Kinsler walked and Elvis Andrus grounded into a double play.
A-Rod grounded out, Canó singled, and Teixeira flew out to center. Swisher grounded out to kill the rally AGAIN, and also end the inning.
In the bottom of the sixth, Josh Hamilton grounded out, Adrian Beltré grounded out and Michael Young struck out to end the inning.
In the seventh, Ibáñez struck out, Chávez struck out, Martin singled and Jeter struck out.
In the bottom of the seventh, Nelson Cruz popped out to Canó, David Murphy flew out to Granderson in shallow right-center. Mike Napoli singled and Kuroda was promptly pulled for Clay Rapada.
Clay Rapada got Moreland to ground out to end the inning.
Curtis Granderson led off the eighth by striking out, A-Rod grounded out, and Canó grounded out to end the inning.
In the bottom of the eighth, Cory Wade got two outs and Boone Logan got Josh Hamilton to strike out, ending the inning.
In the top of the ninth, Yu Darvish got Tex to fly out, Swisher singled, Darvish was pulled for Joe Nathan and Ibáñez hit into a double play as the most pathetic team was HUMILIATED by the guy they DESPERATELY needed to sign.
