Mets Game #9
The Braves led off the game with a groundout by Jack Wilson to score Brian McCann. 1-0 Braves. In the next inning, Rubén Tejada grounded out to score Captain Kirk and tie the game at 1.
The game was tied until the sixth, when Ike Davis launched a 3-run homer, 4-1 Mets! The Braves went scoreless the next two innings and in the seventh, Tommy Hanson's wild pitch allowed Josh Thole to score. 5-1 Mets!
Jon Rauch came in relief in the eighth and promptly allowed a single to Bourn, but allowed no runs.
In the ninth, Jason Bay hit a solo homer, 6-1 Mets! However, the rest of the batters were set down quickly.
Tim Byrdak came on to pitch the ninth and induced a pop up to centerfield, then got Jason Heyward to strike out, and Eric Hinske struck out swinging to end the game.
