Meanwhile, Down in Tampa...

The Rays began their game with a Matt Joyce RBI triple to pull ahead 1-0. The Yankees offense did not score at all, and the Rays took a 2-0 lead when (who else?) Carlos Peña took Phil Hughes deep to take a 2-0 lead.

Hughes kept it close, but the Yankees overrated offense struggled and so Keppinger (the lefty) took (who else?), Boobe Logan deep to take a 3-0 lead.

Hellickson finished the game in the ninth by getting A-Rod to fly out, Teixeira to ground out and Swisher walked before Raul Ibanez recorded an out to give the Yankees a record of 0-3 in their first series.
