The Yankees scored first in the second after a walk to Ibáñez, a single by Chávez and a popup by Stewart. Derek Jeter singled to load the bases and Granderson walked to force in Ibáñez, 1-0 Yankees. That was Granderson's 500th career RBI. A-Rod singled up third on an error by Cabrera and the Yankees led 2-0. ARod tied Willie Mays on the all time RBI list. Canó struck out to end the inning. In the sixth, Cabrera doubled and Boesch scored, 3-2. in the seventh, ARod scored Stewart on a controversial play. Canó doubled and scored Jeter, but Tex lined out to end the inning. Andruw Jones homered in the eighth. 6-2. D-Rob pitched a scoreless ninth and the Yankees won behind CC's masterful game.
