Jesus Flores had a broken-bat double in the second due to the lack of defense on the part of Ibáñez and led 2-0. A plethora of errors led to a run in the fourth as Chávez (who reached on an error) scored, 2-1. Andy Pettitte struck out swinging to end the inning. Cano singled and Swisher doubled in the sixth, Ibáñez grounded out to tie the game. Swisher was tagged out at home on a grounder. Chavez doubled home Martin, 3-2 Yanks!!! Cory Wade replaced Pettitte in the eighth and DeWayne Wise replaced Ibáñez. Ian Desmond tied the game with a homer. Both teams went scoreless in the ninth, tenth and eleventh. Teixeira doubled in the twelfth on an error. Canó was intentionally walked. Stewart struck out to end the inning. Failing Fred came on in the bottom of the inning and struck out the side. Lance Nix singled and stole second in the fourteenth inning. Derek Jeter singled! Mark Teixeira doubled to drive in two runs!!!!!!!! 5-3 Yankees!!!!!!!!! Canó was walked and Freddy García struck out to end the inning. Rafael Soriano pitched the bottom of the 14th and won 5-3 and won without hitting a homer for the first time this season! Ballgame over, Yankees win, THEEEEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!!!
