Mets vs. Cardinals

Duda had an RBI single to score Torres in the first, 1-0. Jon Niese singled for his second hit of the game and Kirk followed with a homer, 3-0. The Cardinals had back to back singles with one out in the sixth, and looked to score, but on a single, David Freese was thrown out at home to end the inning!! Niese departed in the home sixth and Kirk singled to score Quintanilla, 4-0 Mets! Andres Torres tripled to score two more runs, 6-0. Bobby Parnell came on to pitch the seventh, and walked two batters before striking out Beltrán to end the inning!! Elvin Ramírez made his debut in the eighth and Freese scored on a Chambers single, 6-1 Mets. Tim Byrdak pitched to one batter in the eighth and threw one pitch to induce a flyout, ending the inning. Frank Francisco came on in the ninth and the Mets defeated the Cardinals again!
