The End of An Era
Future Hall of Fame RB LaDainian Tomlinson has announced his retirement after 11 seasons.
LT had two career rushing titles. His 13,684 yards and 145 touchdowns rank fifth and third all-time respectively. He had 280 yards an only one touchdown with the Jets last season.
He will sign a one day contract and retire as a member of the San Diego Chargers.
I knew this was coming but I really wanted LT to stick around to try and set the all-time rushing yards record. At the same time, however, I knew his time with the Jets was up.
I look forward to his Hall of Fame induction in 2017 and wish him all the best in retirement. He has certainly earned it.
