Orioles @ Mets

Wright singled, and Hairston popped up. However, Adam Jones and Flaherty collided and the ball dropped, allowing Wright to go to third. The Mets failed to score, however. Mike Nickeas had an RBI single to score Turner, 1-0. Scott Hairston doubled to score two, 3-0. Dillon Gee doubled in the sixth!!!!! Wright doubled to score a run, 4-0. Betemit homered, 4-2. Gee got into trouble in the eighth, but Hardy fouled a ball off his foot for interference, and that was the second out!! Parnell got a flyout to end the inning!! The Orioles put two men on in the ninth, and loaded the bases before walking in a run, 4-3. Frank got out of the HUGE jam and the Mets swept the Orioles!!!! "Put it in the books!!!" (Howie Rose)
