Justin Turner had a two-run, two-out single in the first, 2-0 Mets. Ike homered, 5-0. Nickeas and Niese singled but the Mets were halted there. Jones singled and Pettitte singled in the second, and both moved up on a wild pitch. Jeter grounded out to end the inning. A-Rod homered in the sixth, 5-1. Andruw Jones homered, 5-2 Mets. Jon Niese departed in the seventh and was replaced by Bobby Parnell. Cory Wade relieved Andy in the seventh. Wright doubled to score Quintanilla, 6-2. Miguel Batista came on in the eighth for the Mets and allowed a homer to Canó, 6-4. Clay Rapada pitched part of the eighth and was then replaced by Cody Eppley. Daniel Murphy pinch hit and was intentionally walked. Josh Thole flew out to right to end the inning. Frank Francisco got one out before back to back singles.
