Orioles @ Yankees
Curtis Granderson homered in the first, but the Orioles answered with a homer by Davis in the second, a two-run shot by JJ Hardy in the third, and an RBI single by Betemit in the sixth.
Nick Johnson doubled in the sixth on an error by Nunez and the Orioles took an insurmountable 6-1 lead.
A-Rod bunted in the seventh, but the Yankees did not score.
In the eighth, the Yankees loaded the bases for A-Rod, who proceeded to pop up to end the inning.
Nick Johnson singled and the Orioles led 7-1.
D.J. Mitchell came in to make his major league debut and pitched well in an obvious loss. The Yankees went scoreless in the ninth.
