Doomsday!
The Yankees, in fourth-place, deaperately need a win tonight!
CC Sabathia loaded the bases in the first thanks to an error by Nunez, but the Rays scored only one run because of a great tag by Chris Stewart, 1-0 Rays.
Nunez made ANOTHER PATHETIC ERROR to put runners on first and second with NO ONE out!
The Rays scored on a Sean Rodriguez single in the second, 2-0.
Curtis Granderson led off the second with a line-drive home run, 2-1 Yankees! Nunez singled and stole second, and Chris Stewart tripled on a throwing error to tie the game at 2!! Jeter walked but Nick Swisher and Jeter killed the rally with a double play.
Nunez singled in the fourth and stole second easily.
Cano homered in the fifth, 4-2. Jones doubled, 5-2.
The Rays scored another run in the ninth on a Rhymes groundout to come within two, 5-3 Yankees, but Ben Zobrist flew out to centerfield to end the inning.
The Yankees played VERY well in this series, and I llok forward to playing Seattle!
