Mets vs Phillies
Rollins tripled to Lead off and scored on a sac fly by John Mayburry, Jr. 1-0 Phillies.
Polanco scored, 2-0.
Wright doubled and tied the game at 2 on a ball which bounced away from Mayburry!
The Phillies had the bases loaded in the seventh, but then Mayberry hit into a double play. Mayberry was ruled safe at first, however, the call was overturned and he was ruled out to end the inning and the Mets got out of a HUGE jam.
The Mets had a rough eighth inning wherein Josh Thole was removed after a collision at home plate to save a run. Tim Byrdak set down the last batter to end the inning.
The Mets had Davis on first and one out, and Nickeas doubled, moving Ike to third! Jordany Valdespin launched a 3-run BOMB in the ninth to give the Mets a 5-3 lead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ike made a great tag for the first out in the ninth, Mayberry struck out swinging, and Victorino grounded out to end the game!
I'm back, back in the New York Groove!!!!!!!!!
