Deaza doubled and scored on a single from Youkilis 1-0. Rios singled, 2-0. Jeter and Grandy singled, putting runners on the corners with no outs. The bases were loaded and Canó struck out. Chávez homered, 2-2. Paul Konerko and Alex Rios singled in the third with two outs, but AJ Pierzynski popped out to end the inning. Robinson Canó homered, 4-2. DeWayne doubled and moved to third on a groundout. Tex popped up to end the inning. Soriano pitched an easy ninth and the Yankees won 4-2!
