2012 Major League Baseball All-Star Game
From Pulchritudinous Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, it's the Midsummer Classic!
Melky Cabrera singled and Ryan Braun had an RBI double, 1-0 NL! Pablo Sandoval drilled a bases-loaded triple, 4-0 National League!!! Sandoval scored on an RBI infield single by Dan Uggla as Jeter's throw got by Prince Fielder. Rafael Furcal grounded to second to end the inning.
Rafael Furcal tripled in the fourth and Matt Holliday singled, 6-0 National League. Melky Cabrera followed by hitting one deep to right, 8-0 National League! Ryan Braun tripled but Joey Votto grounded out to Canó to end the inning.
David Wright came on in the fourth and Stephen Strasburg pitched a scoreless fourth thanks to a great play by Ryan Braun.
David Freese took third, and Kershaw pitched the fifth. Ortíz singled and Hamilton singled on a mental error by Bryce Harper. Granderson chopped out and Asdrubal Cabrera walked to load the bases. Ian Kinsler flew out to Harper to end the inning.
Chipper and Andrew McCutchen singled and Jay Bruce flew out. David Freese flew out to end the inning.
R.A. Dickey pitched the sixth and Mike Trout singled and stole second.
Cole Hamels pitched the seventh, Jim Johnson pitched a scoreless seventh.
Craig Kimbrel pitched the eighth and Starlin Castro took over at shortstop.
Aroldis Chapman pitched the bottom of the eighth and the National League went scoreless in the ninth.
Joel Hanrahan recorded one out in the ninth and Papelbon got a flyout from Matt Weiters to give the National League another victory and home-field advantage in the World Series!
