Mets vs. Cubs

Alfonso Soriano had an RBI single in the first 1-0. Baker had an RBI double, 2-0. Soto singled, 4-0. Scott Hairston tripled in the second but the Mets went down without scoring. Jon Niese singled and Tejada had a bloop single. The Mets failed to score, though. Murphy and Wright singled in the sixth and Ike Davis flew out. Lucas Duda hit into a double play. Starlin Castro homered, 7-0. The Mets were shut out on the last day before the All Star Break and the team once again disappointed against the Cubs.
