Will The Real New York Jets Please Stand Up?

The New York Jets in 2011 have been erratic. They have struggled on defense, struggled on offense, yet somehow are sitting at (4-3).

But that, ladies and gentlemen, is third place.

With the "Core Four" of Mangold, Revis, D'Brickashaw, and Harris performing well, and Muhammad Wilkerson doing pretty good, who is to blame?

You could say QB Mark Sanchez.

I say, the entire team.

With Shonn Greene doing terrible through the first few games, although he has picked it up, LT on the bench, and Rex Ryan (gasp!) shutting up, the Jets seemed to have lost what they had last season.

Although they lost WR Braylon Edwards in free agency, Plaxico Burress has more than exceeded my low expectations from a guy who hasn't played in a few years.

So, where is the defense?

He wears #94 (formerly #92) and plays for the Patriots, (and folks, they were beat by DA BILLS!)

Yep, I'm talking about Shaun Ellis. The man Rex Ryan ran out of town by drafting Wilkerson.

So don't be surprised if the Jets end up missing the playoffs in 2011. While it is still early, the Pats and Bills seem determined, and prepared, to hold off the competition for another two months.
