The New York Yankees have agreed to re-sign RHSP Hiroki Kuroda to a 1-year, $15 million contract. He was 16-11 with a 3.32 ERA, but pitched much better than his record indicated.

The Chicago White Sox have re-signed OF DeWayne Wise to a 1-year, $700,000 contract.

The Seattle Mariners have DFA'ed Chone Figgins. The troubled player hit just .188 last season.

The Kansas City Royals have signed RHSP Jeremy Guthrie to a 3-year, $25 million contract. He was 8-12 with a 4.76 ERA in 2012 for both the Royals and Rockies, but 4-0  with a 2.17 ERA in his last 11 games.

The Boston Red Sox have named Arnie Beyeler their new first base coach.

The Mariners have traded for 2B Robert Andino for Trayvon Robinson.

The San Diego Padres have exercised the 2013 and 2014 options on manager Bud Black's contract. He is 464-509 since 2007. Thay also signed OF Kyle Blanks to a 1-year $605,000 contract.

The Blue Jays have (re-)hired John Gibbons to manage the team. He was 305-305 from 2004-2008 as the manager, the third winningest in Blue Jays history.

The Chicago Cubs have DFA'ed 1B Brian LaHair.

The Atlanta Braves have signed Gerald Laird to a one year contract.
