The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed former Yankees C Russell Martin to a 2-year, $17,000,000 contract, where he is reunited with AJ Burnett. Martin had a terrible offensive start, but rebounded to post a statline of .211 with 21 homers and 53 RBIs. I wish him all the very best with Pittsburgh.
The Atlanta Braves have traded RHSP Tommy Hanson to the Angels for Jordan Walden. Hanson was 13-10 with a 4.48 ERA.
