Andy Pettitte allowed a two-run home run to Justin Smoak in the fourth. Swisher singled in the fifth, and the Yankees loaded the bases. Chavez struck out looking, Russell Martin walked to force in Teixeira, 2-1 Mariners. Casper Wells hit a two run homer in the sixth, 4-1 Mariners. The Yankees scored again on a bases loaded walk, 4-2. The Mariners scored two more in the ninth, 6-2.
