I'm Back, Back in the New York Groove!

OPENING DAY!

The New York Mets took on the Atlanta Braves at 1:00 and it was FAR better than I expected!

Johan Santana pitched brilliantly through 5 innings, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out five batters. The Mets then used their re-tooled bullpen: Ramon Ramirez, Tim Byrdak, Jon Rauch and Frank Francisco to finish the Opening Day shutout!

The Mets only run came in the bottom of the sixth inning on a solo home run by David Wright.

Johan Santana walks off the mound after his first start since 2010.
