Hot Stove!

Former Tigers 2B Carlos Guillen has announced his retirement after 14 seasons in the major leagues. The oft-injured Guillen hit .232 over 38 games. He hit .285 for his career and hit .353 in the 2006 World Series for Detroit.

The Pirates have signed OF Andrew McCutchen to a 6-year, $51,500,000 contract extention through the 2017 season with a club option for 2018. He hit .259 with 23 home runs and 89 RBIs in 2011 with 23 steals.
