OF Josh Hamilton has agreed to a 5-year, $125,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Angels. He hit .285 with 43 homers and 128 RBIs in his illustrious 2012 campaign.

This deal means that the Angels are committing to being contenders NOW, and not rebuilding after a disasterous season.

RHSP Ryan Dempster has agreed to a 2-year, $26,500,000 contract with the Red Sox. He was 12-8 with a 3.38 ERA and 153 K's in 2012.

The Reds have agreed to sign 3B Jack Hanrahan to a 2-year, contract. He hit .244 with 4 homers and 29 RBIs in 2012.

RHSP Kevin Correia has signed a 2-year, $10,000,000 contract with the Minnesota Twins.

RHSP Zack Greinke signed a 6-year, $147,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was 15-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 2012.

RHRP Jason Grilli has signed a 2-year, $6,750,000 contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had 2 saves and a 2.91 ERA in 2012.

The Giants have signed former Mets OF Andres Torres to a 1-year contract. He hit just .230 with 3 homers and 35 RBIsin 2012. Good riddence and I wish him all the best next year and beyond.

The Yankees have signed 1B/3B Kevin Youkilis to a 1-year, $12,000,000 contract. He hit just .235 with 19 homers and 60 RBIs for the Red Sox and White Sox in 2012.

I'm not thrilled with the signing, however, if Youk can show that he still has what he had as a member of the Sox, he may prove to be well worth the signing, and really, is anybody worse than A-Rod at this point in his career?
